02/14/05: How to contribute photos
If you wish to post photos on Remolinos.com, here's the new process. Simply send photos to Joseph or any other remolinos webmaster.
A webmaster can easily put them in a new directory (in just a couple of minutes). The webmaster will then create a directory, such as http://www.remolinos.com/jpgs/ and send you the URL (internet address). You can then announce or comment (if you wish) on new photos in the Remolinos Weblogs at http://blogs.remolinos.com
If you choose to announce in the Photos Forum that the photos are available, youd only need to point to the directory, or any list of single files. You can also add comments and show any photos in the Forum as well.
Heres an example.

(That is, the filename MattCindy010205.jpg, without the date and file size, is added to the directory.)
All text in the URLs are case sensitive. Also, if you wish to have the directory or individual files deleted at any time, just let us know. There may be cases where someone does not want their individual photos to be posted, and these wishes will always be respected. This is one process for easily getting more photos up on the website as a routine matter. We may wish to password protect photo directories in the future, but we'll see.
If you have historical/geneological or rare photos, we would likely create a permanent page for these in other sections of the website.
Thanks again for sharing, and please don't hesitate to ask for help at any time!
