Great (14) Grandparents

We have potentially 65,792 direct ancestors (not including their siblings and children) in this generation.

A good place to stop

We have potentially 131,584 direct ancestors (not including their siblings and children) in this generation.  Here is a cool thing to try.  Start with your parents (2) and keep doubling the number for each previous generation.  At about 14 generations, the number is huge (131,584).  A few more generations and it is astronomical.  See what would happen if you went back 64 generations.

Introduction

Thanks for visiting this web page.  As you can see, there is still a lot of work to be done with this geneology, but there is also a lot of information already available.  Most of what's here is based on our mother's patriarchal lineage, a combination of Spanish, Greek, Mexican, and Pueblo Indian lineages.  On our father's side, yet to be added for the most part, there is a combination of Spanish, Tewa Pueblo, Navajo, and French Canadian.  If you have deep roots in Northern New Mexico, chances are pretty good we are at least distantly related.  If you have roots in Rio Arriba County, the odds are very high indeed.  Check it out.
